Perimenopause and menopause, taken seriously.

Comprehensive consultations, tailored HRT (hormone replacement therapy) planning, and continuity of care. Following BMS guidelines.

Who this is for

You might be in the right place if…

  • · Your symptoms started in your late 30s or early 40s and nobody is connecting them
  • · You have been told it is stress, anxiety, or depression but something does not feel right
  • · Your sleep, mood, or energy has changed and you cannot explain why
  • · You are on HRT but do not feel quite right and want a review
  • · You are wondering about adding in testosterone

Expertise You Can Trust

Your care begins with a thoughtful conversation and the reassurance of being guided by a doctor experienced in supporting women through perimenopause and menopause. Symptoms can vary widely, and their impact is deeply personal, which is why treatment should never be approached as one-size-fits-all. The right hormone replacement therapy regimen is one that takes into account your current symptoms as well as offering protection to your future health.

Your first consultation lasts 45 minutes, giving us the time to explore your symptoms in detail, review your medical history, and discuss anything you may already have tried. I will talk you through the options available, explain the evidence behind my recommendations, and work with you to create a personalised plan that feels sensible and right for you.

The aim is not only to help you feel more like yourself again in the present, but also to support your longer-term health and wellbeing for the years ahead.

Why go private

This is a difficult question for me to answer, as I work across both private and NHS settings, and many of my colleagues are truly exceptional, providing an outstanding level of care.

The honest answer is that the NHS is under immense pressure. We all struggle to do justice to a patient within a short ten-minute appointment. At times, a clinic can feel like firefighting and inevitably, health promotion and holistic care take a backseat. The reality is that no GP can be an expert in everything, and women's health has sadly never been a priority within medical training. As a result, knowledge and clinical focus can vary considerably from one practitioner to the next.

Perimenopause can be a genuinely challenging transition, and it frustrates me deeply to see these symptoms so often dismissed. Many of my patients are at the peak of their careers, balancing their health alongside the demands of family and work. Too often they are offered conflicting, outdated advice that leaves them feeling confused and unheard.

You deserve a doctor who is genuinely willing to listen and who has the specialist knowledge to offer a solution tailored entirely to you. Each time you visit, you are seen personally by me, because I believe that continuity and trust are of the utmost importance.

Grounded firmly in the latest guidance from NICE and the British Menopause Society, I cut through the confusion to give you clear, honest answers and a confident path forward. Ultimately, if you have been left frustrated by care elsewhere, choosing private care is a worthwhile investment in your long-term wellbeing.

What we actually do in the room.

01

Symptom map

A structured review of physical, cognitive, mood, sleep, sexual, and urogenital symptoms and their impact on your daily life

02

A discussion around your medical history and any relevant family history. We will also check your blood pressure and weight, and ask about smoking and alcohol.

03

Bloods only where useful, mainly to exclude other causes such as thyroid dysfunction or vitamin deficiencies.

04

A treatment plan covering HRT options (route, dose and regimen), non-hormonal alternatives, and lifestyle changes.

05

Initial follow-up at 8 to 12 weeks after starting treatment to assess your response and make any adjustments.

06

Once oestrogen is optimised and you are comfortable with your progesterone, we can consider adding testosterone if indicated.
